Dan Tometich joined the Albia Industrial staff in May 1994 as a Community Development Specialist after graduating from Iowa State University with a bachelor of science degree in Community and Regional Planning. Along with working on industrial projects, his duties have included housing, small business development, tourism, historic preservation, community foundation, and quality of life issues. In 2013, he was promoted to President / Executive Director of AIDC.
Dan has served on or been involved in several community and regional organizations including; Monroe County Aquatic Center Steering Committee, AHEAD, Inc. Board of Directors, Chariton Valley Transportation Planning Affiliation Technical Committee, Albia Parks Commission, Albia Planning & Zoning Commission, Albia Area Improvement Association Board of Directors, Indian Hills Regional Development Board of Directors, Albia Trees Forever Coordinator, Albia Rotary, Albia Fire Department, Albia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Albia Rescue and Firefighter's Association, Monroe County, Iowa Community Foundation Board of Directors, Monroe County Examining Board, Monroe County Township Trustee, Monroe County Enterprise Zone Commission, Monroe County Comprehensive Plan Committee, Opportunity Squared Board of Directors, and Historic Hills Board of Directors.
